The 2024 5678 Dance Centre Recitals are taking place at The Act Arts Centre in Maple Ridge. Rehearsal and photos will also be taking place at The Act.

There will be a performance fee of $18 per student charged in June to cover Videography & Photography. Photos/Videos will be available soon after Recital!!

​

Rehearsal/Photos Date: Thursday, June 27th between 5:00 & 9:30 pm (emails have been sent with your time slots) Please wear your costume to rehearsal with your hair done as required! Dancers will be getting their photos taken in the studio room before heading the the stage for rehearsal.

Recital Dates: 

Show 1: Friday, June 28th - 6:00 to 7:30pm (dancers please arrive between 5:15 - 5:30)

Show 2: Sat June 29th - 1:00 to 2:30pm (dancers please arrive between 12:15 - 12:30)

Show 3: Sat June 29th - 6:00 to 7:30pm (dancers please arrive between 5:15 - 5:30)

Where can I purchase tickets? Tickets will be available June 1st, online HERE,

in person at The Act Box Office, or by phone 604.476.2787. Reserved seating is in effect, so get your tickets early! Tickets will be limited to 4 per family per show (ticket limits will be removed June 8th).

Do kids need tickets? The ACT requires that any child over 2 needs their own seat and ticket. Children under 2 can sit in parents' lap. Dancers do not require a ticket unless they wish to watch from the audience as they will be backstage with teachers/volunteers. We will have a live feed backstage for dancers to watch.

​

How much are tickets? Tickets are $28 for adults and $20 for Seniors & Children + ACT fees. If you have students in multiple shows, complimentary tickets will be available for the other shows (your name will be on file with The ACT so you will have to call for tickets). We will be reaching out to you via email if you are one of these parents.

​

What should I bring? Come dressed in your costume (with hair done as required). Makeup is optional for most dancers but not required, older dancers may have discussed makeup with their teachers. Don't forget to bring your other costumes/dance shoes if you are in more than one number! If you are unsure about what shoes to wear, please check the attire page HERE.

Where do I park? There is underground parking available as well as parking outside of Walmart if you wish to walk over. 

​

Where do I go? All dancers should head to the "rear entrance" of The ACT (closest to the police station) and enter through the side door to check in. We will have volunteers at the door to check you in. Once inside, dancers can move to the "Dancer Waiting Area" upon arrival to meet up with the other dancers in their class. We will have volunteers and runners keeping an eye on the younger groups and keeping things flowing. Please see the image at the bottom of this page for our map.

Where can I get changed? The ACT is equipped with 3 large change rooms backstage downstairs, as well as washrooms. We will also have two "quick change" personal tents backstage (stage right) if you have multiple dances or are in need of a quick change. 

​

Is the bar open? The bar and lobby reception area will be open 1 hour before showtime serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Drinks are permitted in the theatre so feel free to bring your drinks into the show!

​

Can I record or take pictures? We ask that you refrain from recordings or picture taking during performances as it can be distracting for the dancers and people around you. There will be a professional videographer on-site getting all of the dances on camera for you to re-watch later!

​

Do I have to stay for the entire show? We encourage everyone to support our dancers and their hard work all season by staying for the entire show, plus you won't want to miss our epic finale dance with all performers on stage! We do understand however that you may have to leave early, especially if you have a younger dancer!
