Michaela MacDonald

Michaela has been dancing since the age of three and brings energy, creativity, and a deep love of the arts to every class she teaches.

Trained in jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, stage/musical theatre, and beginner tap, she is passionate about helping young dancers build confidence, community, and a strong technical foundation.

Over the past four years, Michaela has assisted in a variety of styles, including jazz, ballet, hip-hop, acro, musical theatre, and tap, gaining valuable experience supporting dancers of different ages and abilities.

In addition to her studio experience, Michaela has been actively involved in school-based dance programs, leading choreography for musicals and dance productions and taking on leadership roles in set design and stage management. Whether she’s creating a routine, running a rehearsal, or helping backstage, she brings a collaborative spirit and an eye for detail to every project.

Michaela continues to expand her knowledge and training by attending conventions such as NUVO and the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, where she learns from industry professionals and stays current with evolving styles and techniques.

With certifications in High Five: Sports, CDM (Creative Dance Method), and IDTS (International Dance Teaching Standards), OUB (Once Upon a Ballet), Michaela prioritizes safety, inclusivity, and positive youth development. While she’s committed to teaching, she also sees herself as a lifelong learner—growing through each class she attends and every dancer she meets.
