Soleil Mousseau (she/her)

Soleil discovered her passion for dance in her first Acro class at age 4 and in the years of training that followed.

As a biracial, Afro-Brazilian artist, she believes it’s important to draw from her multicultural background in both her artistry and her teaching. She feels it’s important for students to see cultural representation in the classroom and is proud to be a dance teacher who models that diversity for her students.

Over the years Soleil has received extensive training in Acrobatics, Contortion, Ballet, Jazz, Afro Styles, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Tap and Musical Theatre. She has studied CDTA Tap & Jazz, RAD and Cecchetti Ballet. She is fully certified in Acrobatic Arts and is continuing to expand her qualifications with Alexia Flexibility and DanceAbility Adaptive Dance certifications.

A competitive dancer since age 7, Soleil has been recognized for her versatility, technical strength and well-rounded performance through top overalls and special awards.

Currently Soleil works as a freelance dance artist, model, motion-capture and stunt-work artist, collaborating with choreographers and creative teams across a variety of projects.

Soleil completed high school at Langley Fine Arts and is now in her final year of the BFA Dance program at Simon Fraser University’s School of Contemporary Arts.

Teaching has always been her passion since the beginning and Soleil is dedicated to sharing her love of movement, promoting a deeper understanding of dance, and creating a safe atmosphere where students feel supported and inspired
